FEBRUARY 2023
Thank you for being our front-line heroes!
We care. We see you. We understand the impact you have.
To support our cleaners, we share news & resources to keep you "in the know".
TIP #1:
STAND IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE FOR BOTH PICTURES
Make sure you match the angle you used for the "before" picture. You'll see a clear contrast between before and after.
Match the angle and perspective in both photos. Take note of where you were when you took the first photo so you can match the composition later. You could do a close-up "before" and "after" for details.
TIP #2:
STAGE YOUR SUBJECT MATTER. REMOVE DISTRACTING ITEMS AND KEEP UNIQUE ELEMENTS THE SAME.
No matter what you're photographing, clearing debris and other eyesores before taking "after" photos will make the effect stronger.
Take a look at the blue recycling bins in the example picture below. In both the "before" and "after" pictures, they're positioned the same way. This detail allows shine to take center stage.
TIP #3:
CHOOSE PROBLEM AREAS & USE NATURAL LIGHTING IF POSSIBLE
Choose trouble areas for your photographs. When stains, dirt, and debris are obvious, that makes for a good "before" picture. Your "before" and "after" pictures will contrast dramatically.
Lighting can be tricky. Use natural lighting when you can. In any case, turn on all the lights for both the "before" and "after" shots. With a bit of practice, you'll be snapping photos like a pro. Don't forget to share them with us! You could be featured!
